In a powerful demonstration of compassion and solidarity, the Vincentian Family is embarking on a transformative journey through the 13 Houses Jubilee Project, a global initiative that promises to bring shelter and hope to vulnerable families across thirteen new countries.
A Symbolic Beginning
During the World Day of the Poor on November 17, 2024, Pope Francis blessed 13 symbolic bronze keys—meticulously crafted by Catholic artist Timothy Schmalz—representing homes to be built in Syria, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Italy, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, United Kingdom, and Ukraine. These keys are more than mere metal; they are emblems of hope, dignity, and symbols of the Church’s unwavering commitment to those experiencing homelessness.
A Legacy of Compassion
Since 2018, the 13 Houses Campaign has already made remarkable strides, by housing and supporting over 10,000 people in 70 countries. The Jubilee Year 2025 marks an ambitious expansion of this mission, with a dedicated focus on creating tangible change for the most vulnerable.

The decision to develop a 13 Houses Jubilee Project in Syria underscores its commitment to tackling urgent humanitarian challenges head-on. With papal endorsement, the Famvin Homeless Alliance’s intervention brings crucial aid to an area devastated by years of warfare, showing how unified humanitarian action can make a meaningful difference in even the most challenging circumstances.
