13 Houses Jubilee Project of Hope N°9, Australia
A new home, a new beginning for Nadia and her child in Western Sidney, New South Wales (NSW)
Saint Vincent de Paul Society Housing Australia (SVDPSHA) has been a proud partner of the 13 Houses Campaign since its inception. As part of the Jubilee Project, the Society recently purchased a modern two-bedroom unit in Western Sydney, providing a safe, stable, and welcoming home for Nadia and her child.
The family was previously supported by Vincentian House, a crisis refuge also operated by the Society. The new home is ideally located near public transport and local parks, offering Nadia and her family a fresh start and renewed hope.
“I have been struggling to find a house for myself. Finally, thanks to this initiative, I have a new home. It is very nice and I am very satisfied with it. The 13 Houses Campaign changed my life and my daughter’s life, our life”.
Building futures: Graham West’s vision for housing and hope
“Our goal is to create hope through housing and end homelessness.
We are currently developing a 38-unit apartment complex for women transitioning from homelessness and family violence, as well as a new crisis facility for women in North Western New South Wales (NSW). We are building 27 units for women in partnership with the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta, four homes in South Western NSW with the Sisters of Mercy, and an additional four units of accommodation in Taree.
The 13 Houses Campaign is uniting the world in charity and love and changes people’s lives”.
